A full 42.125 km worth of sweat, agony and pain throughout my body. And the experience is somewhat addicting, although not for the first few days after the race.

The Penang Bridge International Marathon is an annual running event, at the famous Penang bridge, and this year, being the first year of the 2nd bridge, the organizer managed to get their hands on the 2nd bridge and held the run there. All running categories from full marathon, half, 10k and fun run is included and awfully a lot of people are here for the race.

In my 2014 year resolution, i've challanged myself to run a full marathon, alongside couple of half marathon before to prep myself for the this big race. My initial target was to run two 10k races, followed by two half marathon, and finally a full marathon at the end of the year. and after judging some races, i decided to pick PIBM 2014 to be my marathon debut since it is at the end of the year. and also because it is relatively easy(no trails, and deadly hills)

The Big Day.

Preparation is all done and i was very much ready both physically and mentally for the race. I've read and even memorized some of the "first time marathoners mistakes" article on the net and im sure do grateful for that.

After considering well of my fitness level(which is not that good at that time btw) and some considerations on my body (from previous half marathon), i carefully plan my entire run. The plan was to run at an average pace of 7 min per km for the first 30km before stopping by for Subuh prayer and continued with the same pace for the last 10k or so of the race.

When the race began, i carefully and slowly began my pace, not trying to outpace everyone else and maintain that good pace. It all went well until i reached the end of the bridge, at about km20. At this point i knew, ive completed half of the race. So for the next 10k i've struggled to maintain the same pace although it did not really work out. according to my Garmin FR10, i;ve only managed to maintain avg 8-9 min/km pace for the next 10k or so. The pain on my right knees, and lower legs start to affect my performance. At km32 as my watch indicated, i stopped for Subuh prayer at about 6am in the morning, just as i noticed another muslim brother just about to have his prayer. With some water bottle from previous water station, i took my ablution just by the road and uses a towel i carried along with me to cover my head. So for those out there who think about not praying during races, think again. It was not that difficult.

Moving on from there, there is another 10km left according to one of the sign installed. And by this time my Garmin fr10 battery already died on me, so pace was not my concern anymore although i was hoping to complete the race in about 6 hours. At this point, i can barely jog since my thigh and ankle felt so painful and it felt like it can cramp anytime if im not careful. And i hate to not complete this race. So whenever i felt that urge, that jolt of pain, i stopped and walk away.

The last 4km felt like forever as i can no longer jog. Rather than hurting myself and not finishing it, i change the plan to walking until the last few meter before the finish line. and i glad i did that since i managed to run off the finish line with some graceful jog for the photographers to take some pictures of me(hopefully). (edit: es i have a picture, but man, it was so bad, and they even charge me!)

at that time, i was worn out, i did not have much of energy left, my thigh, ankle and my knees is in a deep pain and after a long queue for medal and finisher tee collection, i get on and had my breakfast, which is worth noting to be the best breakfast ive had in months although it is just a cereal. From there it was all fun times with friends before heading back home.

Some summary on the race course, as expected it was fairly easy in term of the track. It was pretty straightforward, tarmac track with little elevation changes. Elevation gain was as little of 18m which very little. During the start, you can see the street lamp all the way until the end of the bridge, and to some this is a great pain in the ass. Must have a strong mental to overcome this until the end. In all it was a great run and im glad i chose this run to be my debut marathon run.

And there you go, my first experience running a marathon. and first though is that i wont race a marathon again. Not after this pain. But after a deep slumber, i can help but wanted to do a better one, one where i can complete in that 7min/km pace throughout. hehe. Maybe next time.

and here are some of my advice on anyone planning on running their first marathon anytime soon

####

1. Train your legs well - dont just depend on jogging to strengthen your legs, do some weight exercise, go cycling. I knew i need those prior to this run.

2. Fuel properly - Eat drink well before the race. bring along gels if necessary

3. Dont consume gel and run - this might be a personal advice. last race i consumed a gel while jogging and later on my stomach starts to feel funny and i was in very great deal of pain for 5km or so until the next toilet stop.

4. Dont start too fast - unless you are an athelete whos done half marathon, running all the way that is. Start slow and build up from there. dont get to excited and sprint off.

5. Dont consume banana in the race - again, this is personal advice. I knew if i consume a banana will eventually have a visit to the toilet anytime soon. So if you dont want a mid race toilet session, dont.

6. Bring along tigerbalm/ minyak panas/ salonpas spray or anything that can ease up the pain - because most aids camp wont have those, and have only ice packs which is slow to work with.

7. Hydrate well - Do stop by for drinks at the station. better if you can bring along a water bottle.

8. Listen to song - This helps a bit, especially that last few km to the finish line

###
Hope these advice helps!

On 12th
September I began my journey to backpacking around Peninsular Malaysia. At
first I was planning on travelling on train to my first destination, Kelantan.
The idea of sleeping inside the double decker coach, in a 12-hour train ride
excites the hell out of me. But since the plan was ad-hoc, there were no more
tickets available and I have no choice but to travel by bus to Kelantan. I
specifically chose a right time so that I can save time in term of travelling
and money in term of accommodation. So I picked up a trusted Transnasional bus
estimated to depart from Hentian Putra at 1045 pm Friday night. Since it was
the weekend where school holiday begin, the bus station were very crowded with
people, wanted to go back to their hometown. Here I notice something new, how Kelantanese
people can talk to each other like they are colleague and family. Sure the
first few hours in the bus is a bit noisy but it’s a good experience to have.

Along the way, there
were some traffic along the way to Kelantan and the vehicle does crawl from
times to time. I arrived at the Kota Bharu Bus station about 0800 am in the
morning with a cloudy but promising sunny day. Once arrived, I immediately
contact Faiz, a long lost primary school and childhood friend of mine who’s
studying Accounting in UiTM Kota Bharu. The natural thing to do in the morning
was to get ourselves a good breakfast and knowing im in Kelantan, I know for
sure my favourite East-coast breakfast, Nasi Dagang can be obtained easily.
People of Kelantan unlike any other state, love to have heavy breakfast. Their
breakfast consist of large portion of rice, mutton or fish and their gravy.
Much similar to what normal Malaysian had during lunch. Sure, for those trying
to follow their habit will end up feeling all tired and sleepy after a heavy
breakfast. After some quick
session of Nasi dagang and tea tarik, we head back to Faiz Rent house just few
minute drives from the city centre.

wedding of my early-UTP friends whom have left UTP after we completed Foundation.
The wedding is set at Pasir Mas, about 1 hour (I think) journey from Kota

Rantau Panjang. Since we are already close there compared to the city centre.
Before that we made a stop at the famous Jubli Perak Al Sultan Ismail Petra Mosque. The architecture
resembles of that those old China buidlings. The mosque was well taken care of
and they even have a small bazaar selling muslim clothing and medicine outside
the premise. The inside was not that big since the mosque was initially built
only for small numbers.

Player-issued jersey of World cup team at a price of just rm15. But since im on
a budget, I refrain myself from spending any money on cloths. As the sun set,
we head back to Kota Bharu and had Burger Bakar KB as dinner. The price was OK
and the burger was served fast enough although some food from the menu has
already finished even though it was only 0900 pm. Having the chance to be in
Kelantan, I hook up with this friend of mine, last seen on 2012 in one of event

As expected, mamak here are very fluent
with kelantanese dialect, even I got a bit lost when they ask what kind of
curry do I want with my roti kosong. Some breakfast and after googling my
location, I decided to get into the Kelantan Museum, also just near the
roundabout. Nothing much can be seen here because the main exhibition still not
open since it quite early (about 0900 am). So I was left to view their largest
collection according to Guinness Book of Malaysia for coins and paper money exhibited
in one place. Sure, there are many interesting money dated way back before we
reach our independence, even way back until the first Kesultanan Melayu Melaka
timeframe. Although to many this seems rather boring and lame, but I do
recommend a visit here, for this coin and paper money exhibition. You can feel
a bit more appreciated of our own history, although not being able to remember
everything, at least some of it will stay as a memory.

After that
straight away decided to go to the Siti Khadijah Market, a place where only
women do their business like selling everything you need to prepare dishes. But
it was unfortunate that I did not managed to walk around much here. The walk
took a little bit over 45 minutes since I was a little lost (LOL) and a bit
distracted by the girls from nearby college. LOL. As I reach the market, I straightaway
look for something to quench my thirst and while doing so, looking at the
normal routine of KB people. Next stop was the Jahar Palace. An old palace just
behind the Siti Khadijah Market. Here, there are more info on Kelantan custom
and me being me, I did not pay much attention on the history, although there
are some that spike interest in me like the showering place located outside the
palace, specially made and used for male/female

walk around, it was already noon and Faiz came and fetch me to have Lunch with
his colleague. I can’t remember the shop name, but the concept was to take food
for group, rather than personal and they will charge everything in large sum.
So you need to kawtim with friends on what menu to have on the table. Because
in the end, you’ll be paying the same rate. I don’t think I ever did this kind
of thing at UTP, or anywhere in Perak. We were having Patin sambal tempoyak
with ulam, belacan and budu, also ikan keli goreng and ayam goreng including a
jug of sirap bandung to share among us. All that for rm7. Yums. After that
since its almost Zohor, I decided to
join them and head back to their house for some rest. End up I slept all the
way that evening. LOL. Maybe I was too tired from all the walking, or maybe
because of the food.

After a long
hiatus on this blog, here I am again.

Just so you
know, I’ve been very busy with final year (yerr rightt) and that would be the
main reason for this long hiatus. Secondly I lost that sensation in writing
blog again. Nowadays it is easier to just tweet or just write up a status about
anything we encounter in life. So I’m done with my degree now and waiting for
Convocation on middle of October 2014. My last semester result has come out and
all praised to Allah, I managed to get my targeted pointer for this final
semester. Having manage to climb up from 2nd class lower to 2nd
class upper, man, im more than grateful for all this good news. Enough about this, lets get back to the main topic.

If you did not
follow my instagram/ twitter account you might not notice that im on a
solo-mission of backpacking around Peninsular Malaysia. By the time I’ve post
this online, im sure I already completed my journey and have a good night sleep
at home.

I got this thing
of traveling throughout the peninsular back before my internship begins but at
that time, I planned on going with few of my colleague. Long story short, the
plan did not work out. We have too many ideas, to many conflict and in the end,
the plan crumbles and disappear into thin air.

So during my
final exam week, I had this thought, much similar to any other student, instead
of focusing on final exam, we are much more excited to plan on what to do after
the exam ends. Some have great travel plan, some have their own bucket list to
complete and some, well, some just stay quiet because they are broke. Haha.

So after putting
some thought, I decided to go on with the peninsular trip. I began with listing
out each and every attraction in each city. Most of the information is
retrieved from Google, travel blog, TripAdvisor and friends. At this particular
time, budget is still not the main concern because I have saved some money
specifically to be used for any travel plan after I finish my study. It wasn’t
much but I think I can survive with it.

Once the
research is done, next is to contact friends and family of contact in each city
for their assistant in traveling in the city. Before the trip begins, I
already accept the fact that I will do most of the traveling on foot. Because
of that I have listed down only places that are within 10km radius from the
city center. That was the initial plan.
But after getting in contact with some close and long lost friend, I managed to ask them to assist me in this journey. Their help is
forever will be in my dept. At this time, I was more excited to plan the trip
rather than studying for my final exam. Sure there are times where I’m scared
of the fact of travelling all by myself and thinking of putting of the plan but
in the end I muster up my courage and just let the plan goes.

I bought this last May 2011 and now, almost three years since i began pouding the road with it, i have decided to put this little guy at home, where it will most probably be, covered in dust. In the shoe shelf. Only to be used during my breaks at home(so that i dont have to bring shoes all the way from UTP.)

This was my first shoes i decided to buy, when i planning to start taking jogging to another level. Although it was not until last year that i began running for races, i've started long ago, in small2 races (less than 10k). and this shoes is what i have with me during those times. Although, i was kinda stupid back then to start with a lightweight shoes(instead of a trainer/ better cushioned shoes) but looking back, i did not regret purchasing it at a local Al-Ikhsan store in Sunway Pyramid.

Well, i've ran about 600km - 700km in this shoes, if my calculation was right( avg 20km per week multiply by 30 weeks +-). Regardless of the number, it has serve its time with me, with all money well spent.

Sayonara Adizero Mana. Thanks for all this times.
Alhamdulillah.

A year has pass by and this year has though me many things, especially in life as well as the growing up process. This year, (and just like any year) felt short, probably cause i really enjoy my time? Well, for some part, yes. Some stage in this year felt rather short. Like seriously short. Especially the first 4-month of my internship. Nevertheless, 2013 has been an amazing year for me and looking back at my early 2013-resolution i can say, im proud of myself after all this time.

yes. my 2013 resolution.

So yeah, some of it i managed to get it done, like 5 finishing medals, B-license for big motorcycles, backpacking to Japan, and to meet new friends from events. and looking back, since 2013 was the year of preparation for internship and the real internship itself, my resolution of the year was a little blerghh.

But to jot down a few, these are my most joy-est, proudest, and most thankful experience i had in 2013.

MIROC2013 - Paintball robot competition.

It was my first time leading up a team of skills students for a paintball robot competition. It was fun, it was tiring, and it was stressful. My lack of leadership skills does show here and then but ultimately, it help me realize that i can improve my leadership skills. I get a better understanding of teamwork, not that i don't know before, but i learn how badly a teamwork is importance in making a project or a plan working.

LIMA'13 - 2nd times though

Yes. The Langkawi Internation Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition 2013. Oddly it took place early in March, unlike it previous year, since they think its a good idea to find a date that does not clashes/ too close to another aerospace exhibition(which will jeopardize the investor/ exhibitors.) Well like i said, its my second time, and this time im just acting as a volunteer, with no real volunteer job. haha. To be frank, this one wasn't as fun as last 2 years, probably because this time there are more people, new people coming in as volunteer and majority of them come in group, which in reality, impose a problem for any solo and out of nowhere guy like me to join in the group. But cheer up, there is always sunlight at the end of the tunnel(unless its night.) I've met some great friends, some old great friends and some great new friends, and im thankful for our meetings. and really, i do hope to see you guys again. Next LIMA perhaps?
The whole experience of working at a offshore oil platform, well, i didn't get that experience. Instead, i got the whole experience of working at an Onshore gas platform, something that i'm very much excited to go although at first i don't have any interest in. But over time, i've seen how the process goes, i know where my interest can be place inside the Oil&Gas industry. And InsyaAllah, i'll try my best to go that way.
I'm truly proud of these achievement. the training, the effort, the pain, the joy, the sweat, everything was worth it when that medal is in your hand. Hey, im not beating any national record or anything, but at least im doing something to improve my overall physical health.

You know what, there are lots of thing that happen in 2013. And that because we live, as long as we live this short life we had, there will always be moments, moments to cherish, moments that makes you cried, moments of joy, and sometimes there is no moments. But apart from all of that, Alhamdulillah for this great and awesome year, each and every one of you make me who i am today.
Assalamualaikum.

Its been very very while since my last post here. Now that everything began to turn back to normal, the 8 month internship is over and now without noticing, its already near the end of the year 2013. To sum up one of the greatest experience i had, visiting the country of rising sun ive been meaning to post an entry for it. But since im a little occupied with so-called working life, and followed up by crappy internet line back in Kerteh, i decided not to waste my energy and wait for the right time to write one. So here we are, the Japan trip part one!

PART 1: JOURNEY TO THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN.

Last September, AirAsia X did a competition on their facebook for a chance to win a full expense trip to Japan with AirAsiaX to go and watch the MotoGP Japan in which, Air asia is the largest sposor for this race. Everything from accommodation, ticket flight, and food is sponsored. Having to know about the competition and considering a high chances of winning,(since there are less than 20 entry until the end of the competition) me and couple of my clique join the competition with little to no hope of winning. In our mind, if we are lucky enough we'll win. Although, at the back of my mind, i really do hope to win.

Then when the result came out, i was such a suprise that we have won the grand prize of a full expense trip to Japan to see the Grand Prix. We here refer to Syamat and I. The entry and picture is uploaded using his Facebook account and i was responsible to post the best slogan for the picture. With little of hope and ass kissing element in my slogan, we managed to get the ticket. Thank you AirAsiaX! And it was right on time that PETRONAS scholar money were bank in to our account. So without thinking much, approval from supervisor granted and off to Japan we go!

Since my passport from last year Race of Champion, Thailand was still valid so there was no problem for me logistic wise other than to assist Syamat to get his first passport. Besides, this is his first flight overseas. And since starting early 2013, Japan government has allowed visitor from Malaysia and some other country to travel to Japan without Visa. That pretty much smoothed our journey and saving us time to apply for Visa. Our flight was on the afternoon of 24th October using Air Asia X(obviously), where all of the winner from other countries such as Australia, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore will depart together in a one way flight from LCCT to Haneda Airport, Japan.

To be frank, it was a dream come true for me, as a person who think and respect highly of the Japanese Culture and their Anime and Manga culture, to finally able to step on the ground of Japan, Its just magical. And Im really grateful to Allah the Almighty for giving me the chance, for giving me the opportunity to open my eyes, to see first hand, how is the Japanese culture and the country itself. And Insyaallah if given the chances i would like to come back here to continue discovering the things i missed out in this short journey.

Can't wait to aboard the famous Japan train

It took about 7 long hour to reach Haneda Airport. The flight was tiring, but because its Japan where we are heading, it doesn't felt that intimidating. During the time of arrival, the Typhoon Haiyan is on its way to the Philliphines, and Japan was a little affected by it. During our stay in Japan, the weathers for the first two days are very much raining, and with the temperature of minus 10 degree Celsius, it wasn't that helping in keeping our shoes and cloth dry.

The Oyama Grand Hotel

Upon arrival to Japan, we straight away took a bus(together with the sponsor and the stewardess ;p) to our hotel in the province of Oyama, where our hotel for the first two day is located. The Grand Oyama Hotel is quite a good hotel to stay in, with staff having a basic english proficiency which will making communication a little easier. Mind you, most of the Japanese have difficult time conversing in English. Even in Tokyo itself, it is hard to find a person with good english skills. Even with my malayish english, i still felt superior. LOL.

The total 10 hours journey from the plane ride to the bus ride and finally to the hotel room sure make us pretty much beat up. Nevertheless, having finally reach one of my top list of destination to go in the World, really, has made my day.

Next up. Part 2: Japanese food, Twin Ring Motegi, Night stroll around Oyama

Yes. yes. Im finally back from the land of the internet-less. Well not really! Its just that i just found a place where i can use the internet freely without paying a cent. And the source is coming just besides my rental room. In my landlord house! aha!

A lot of things has occured these past few month since i last wrote. Lots of things happen. Lots of distance and new experience to share. Doing my first 16K run, riding a BMW5 series at the racetrack, meeting homeboy racer at the land of sunrise and many more! I promise, once i get back to Subang after this internship ends, i'll try my best to wrote all of it here again. Im also thinking of redesigning the whole blog, to make it last even longer.

Just watch this space. I'll be back!

Another 10k down the belt, Alhamdulillah. So last week, on the 28th of September, me and few of my clique whom were doing our internship in Kerteh drove all the way to Kuala Terengganu to join a 10k race. Since it's been quite a boring weekend here in kerteh, i think its a good idea to hang out at another place, far, but not that far that will cost lot of money to go to.

My first official run in Terengganu.

Although at first i was a little bit not in the mood for running, but my friends convince me to sign up for the race. Although it seems that near the race day, im the one that overly excited to do the race. They were few categories offered, being 42km the furthest, followed up with 21km, 10km, 7km and 3km. Since IPT(Institute of Higher Education) has its own categories, we decided to tackle the categories, which sets on 10km of distance around Batu Burok Beach and the great city of Kuala Terengganu.

We arrived a day earlier to collect the race pack as well to get in our homestay. For just rm200 a night, we have a 3 bedroom with the capacity to put about 9 people in each room, 1 inside toilet and 2 outside toilet. Not to mention you get a lobby to watch TV and a very large kitchen. Just in case you want to stay long and cook.

One great thing about this race is the fee itself. For a runner-T, a RFID bip, certificate and finisher medal, i say, rm5 is more than worth it.

Raceday comes and i was the first to get up and refuel. 2 buns of chocholate bread, a bottle of lime Gatorade and a Banana flavoured Powerbar is all that i took that morning. Gulping the gatorade first thing in the morning turn out to be a wrong move because i have been visiting the toilet, right until they flag off the 10k race. When they flag off about 6.45 a.m, i was still in the toilet, answering to nature call.

Because of that, i started late. But since we are using a RFID tag to measure our time, im not so concern in starting at flagoff. Not till the end of the race of course. The race begin and end at Batu Burok Recreational beach, make its way to the Sultan Mahmud bridge, halfway through the bridge only though for 10k, and back to the beach.

Although the race was commercialize as 10km, my Garmin Forerunner 10 seems to disagree. At the end of the race, it shows the whole track was 2 km longer than stated. So for a total distance of 12.2km, my time was 1.11.58 Since it was my first time doing 12k, it is indeed a new PR for me, but for 10k, ive managed to complete it in 58min. 2 min short of my PR recorded during Brooks 10k.

Map layout with the rest of the data.

Crossing the finish line never felt better. Since im running with bunch of friends, it is exciting to go and welcome you friend who still haven't cross the finish. And since this is the first running event for most of them, it's good to see the reaction they have at the finishing line. Some were excited to finish the race, some, just felt tired as hell.

Felt good running in a large group.

Nonetheless we have fun, the course was great with little of hills, but the road was not properly close so it is a little bit dangerous from time to time. Although the race organizer promise of an individual time for everyone(since they are using RFID) up until today, there are still no news about it. I heard that they cant give the official timing unless you call them personally, which i'm not going to do.

p/s: my review on the Garmin FR10 will be up soon. probably after Adidas KOTR malaysia ends.
Dead? Probably not yet.Salam and good evening i bid to all of you the remaining readers of the blog world.

I know it has been quite a while since my last post.

Indeed, many things have occurred during these times.

For instance, im currently reside at Kerteh for total of 8 month until this end of year to undergone my Industrial training.

Egypt is in a brink of war, so does Syria and USA.

and it's still in the month of Syawal, which means to the rest of the malaysian, we are still in a mood for Raya celebration.

In the other hand, in an hour time, we will be put another mile stone in our history for the 56th year of independence of Malaysia. 56 and more years counting for this irreplaceable independence that we have. May we all be independent in our mind and soul.

Amin.

p/s: its time of the year again.
Alhamdulillah.

My 2nd race of the year has been completed successfully with me creating my personal best for 10km race. Although i finished the last 10k race, the Melawati10k in just 48min, the route was only for a good 8k. (so its kinda cheated to say its 10k) But this time, with a help of gps sports app software, the distance was about right. This time i managed to finished in 56 min and 41 seconds. My personal best ever. Because i did not run with my phone, so i can't really tell my fastest pace through out the race. but for avg pace, it is 5.40 min/km. An average of 20 seconds faster than my normal 6 min pace for training. It's probably because of the adrenaline and the 'motivation' that are there during the race. hehe. But considering the fact that i do sprint my way in my first 2km, i believe that i did faster, im thinking like 3min/km pace for the first 2km. and that covers back my slow pace at the end of the race(about 7min/km).

Overall, i was satisfied with my result. Sooo happy with it ^^ Although i did not train properly prior to the race, i managed to did well with the timing. I guess now i have a benchmark, something to beat for the next races. Probably trying to do less than 50min? with enough training, insyaallah.

So whats next? To be frank, I'm not even sure it myself. If my
internship period was non-hectic and i can have all the time in the
weekends and weekday evening, i guess i could do a couple more 10k.
probably a 21km in the end of the year? Its possible.hehehe
I've been super! Although this past week been a very busy week for me. Ever since my last update (which is about 1 month ago), thing have been moving rather quickly all around me. Event. assignment, projects, test, more test. and in between those, are the training for my races.
I do train regularly, but the weather in UTP is a little unpredicted. The morning is all hot and sunny, the evening is all moody, cold and rainy. And being a student, the only time i have to train is at the evening. So the constantly raining weather do affect my training. Just look at the data from my Endomondo. last month i did 30km less than on January. Just how much time i wasted. and oh yea, i forgot to tell the race is tomorrow.
Motorcycle License.

Alhamdulillah. After my second try on the B-full license, i've finally managed to hit it. Last week, i've been transporting to and fro UTP-KL a few times(4 times to be exact) for the sake of attending my 2nd time JPJ test. I've fail my first test(the bridge test) which i suppose to go over 8s but i did it in 7s. This time, i managed to do it in 9.87s after some nerve wrecking moment. I mean really, getting on a big bike after a month of non- motorcycle riding can be very intimidating. Especially to a skinny guy like me. But after i finally cleared all the courses, all those tiring moment seems weightless, seems like nothing compare to the feeling of achieving something like this.

LIMA'13

Yes. This time im stuck again in the same event that i've joined 2 years back. Although this time i'm not being a part of the staff, but rather this time i have the chance to work under 'volunteer' department, but while sticking with my previous job. This year event will be bigger, hopefully more merrier with more new volunteer that i can't wait to get know of. (I like to make contact from events like this btw.) And this year addition will be more entertaining event overall with more exhibition and airshows. Definitely will be this year highlighted events.

So Whats Next??

Well, my semester will ends anytime soon, in about 3 more month.(its already mid semester now) What awaits me is employment! ERK! kidding. Employment will be another one year, after i graduate on Sept 2014. After this semester ends, internship or industrial training will follows. and like the rest of my friends with pointer less than number 3, we still haven't receive any offer letter from any company :( But from the senior experience, its about after mid semester break that they all started to receive offers from company. So, finger crossed!

But time will tells. Let's just hope for the best. InsyaAllah.

Until then.

Today, i did my first ever official 10k race. Despite the race called 10k, it was more or less about 8k, due to some technical matter from the organizer. Something about not getting the permit for the initial road which suppose to be, as it called, 10k.

Regardless about it being 8k or 10k, i had a great run this morning. Great that it went smoothly, great that i've finished with no major injury.

Melawati 10k.

Having this race to be my debut race for official race event, i've no idea at all about how it all start. Since i've already got my bib and shirt a day before the race, i believe what left is for me to get there and wait at the starting line. and i was quite amazed by the type of people, not so of the number of the people. all people from different background, wearing different attire, different shoes(yeah, i was lurking around if there is someone with the same shoes as mine. like kids, i know.)

and when the race started, like always it takes some time to spread the crowd. about 3 min into the race(approx.) the crowd started to disperse, and i'm able to find a comfortable pace to begin. a good no brainer strategy is to run in your comfortable pace, then after a while, find someone with the same pace, and stick to that guy. at first i follow some guy with LYN runner shirt, after a while i left him because i felt like were not in the same pace. then i follow another guy with yellow shirt. but at that time, it started to get hilly and i kinda lost some pace and ran comfortably on my own.

the route were very challenging i would say! usually i would run on place where the elevation wont be much felt to my body, but here, the elevation really, will break your determination! like really! hills after hills. then comes the last, longest hill. It's a blessing in disguise though. as i found that these are the places that i can take advantage and take over some people. but you need to have a great determination though! Just look on the tarmac and maintain that poise.

there were 2 water station, but i stop at the 2nd one since the first one was to crowded. and i have to say, running for 6k or so over hills, after a short drink of isotonic drink, it felt like the energy came rushing. although not much, but good enough to make you feel better, physically.

and at the last 200m, i was pushing hard. i felt like i can run more. and there's this guy screaming inspiring words. and then before i know, the finishing line.

it doesn't felt anything really, until i managed to stop the timer on my watch. Clocking a 48min59s for about 8k. Not bad. Not bad at all. considering the hilly terrain, considering this was my first time here(at Tmn Melawati), i think it's a great run. in an average i was doing 6min/km. My target pace for this kind of race(10K). The rest was history. gulping down 4 cups of 100plus, 2 cups of milo, then felt slightly weird. haha. Get on hold my medal and cert, and some photos as a souvenir.

and btw its a drug. Running like this is addicting.
because of that, just now i registered for another 10k race on April. hahaha.

Next stop: Brooks 10k, Bukit Jalil.
Despite that, i still remember some of it and some i did managed to achieve last year.

Nevertheless, this is 2013. and here is my 2013 resolution. Drum roll pliz.

*Badum tss*

1. Be a better muslim. and this will be in my resolution each and every year. because i admit it, sometimes i am a bad muslim, and this thing we need to improve all the time, until the end of our time.

2. Try not to forget anyone birthday. Hopefully facebook will remind me few days earlier. hahaha. just kidding. i do jot down birthdays on my calendar.

3. Finish up, atleast five 10k races this year. and by the end of 2013, im expecting 5 finisher medals hanging at my wall, proudly!

4. Get my B license! and btw, Just now i had my first lesson and as expected, i fall down the bike. and yes. i do look stoopid. but that's part of the learning process!

5. Score a great company for internship. Yes. i'll be having my internship or latihan perindustrian or praktikal or what ever you call it next June i suppose. So yeah. Hoping for a great company where i can expand my interest in automotive/ motorsport industry.

6. Backpacking oversea! haha. hopefully. this is indeed, the last year to enjoy before entering working phase.

To me, these resolution are achievable, but only with a clear set on the target, willing power but more importantly, with the help of Allah. InsyaAllah, when this year end, ill look back and smile with what i have achieved.

Now, back to Bangkok 2012 story shall we? hehe
Although in a midst of finishing my entry on Bangkok2012, i don't think im able to finish it by new year. So instead of the continuation of my Bangkok story, ill share my 2012 moment, right here in this blog i made, about the same time i'm typing this off, 4 years back(2008).

First and foremost, i'm grateful to Allah the Almighty for giving me chance, day by day, to live past this year, 2012. In a sense, 2012 is the year of growth for me. Growing for an inner child to a mere adult, an adolescent. It is the year that i carried the most responsibilities. The year, i accept my weakness and tried to overcome it. and Alhamdulillah, i've succeed in some of it. This is the year that i become honest with my feeling,( and that need no further explanation. hehe). This is the year that i open my mind to other people work, not only focusing on engineering related, but to other aspect as well. This is the year that i overcame the fear of growing up, the fear of doing something i've never done before. This is the year that i learn the meaning of failure. Failure in my work as a robocon member, failure in finding a fixed part time job, failure to be competitive with others. and i accept all of that. 2012 is the year that i've learn, friends wont be there forever. They'll break apart, move away, although some might stay. This is the year im thankful for whom i've became, and the path that i have chosen as a student of UTP. This is the year i've learn, the world is a scary place to live in.

Although this year came with ups and down, i thank you Lord for helping me along the way, guiding me at the time i need the most, reminding me of who i am when i lost myself. Thank you to my parent and family for the love and care, and all the help you guys provide me all this time.Thank you to all my friends, old ones or the new ones for being there at every moment.

There's nothing to write here as for what i expected for 2013. I'll make a new one since i've got a lot planned for next year.

Until then 2012.

SORRY SORRY SORRY (bukan lagu kepop)

Woke up early the next morning.

Saturday morning.

Ajieb still in his deep sleep. Well after all, we are traveling 1000km just to sleep in a nice comfy hotel on a Saturday morning. Since the hotel have a swimming pool, i decided that we should go down swimming before our breakfast. Breakfast is normal buffet style with lots of food option, but since we are in a foreign country, we try our best to be vegetarian.(unless its says Halal on the menu.)

Right after breakfast, we're off for a session of sight seeing around the city of Bangkok. Ajieb wanted to find some fried grasshopper, while i wanted to take photo of interesting places around here. So we walked around, from one shopping mall to another. Being in a city, there aren't many exotic place to visit. and being in Thailand, the majority of tourist attraction were temple, which i think isn't an appropriate place for us to go. So we went to where all the girls go when oversea, shopping malls! We get into IOI Mall, Central Mall and Siam Paragon. There wasn't much inside IOI, but Siam Paragon. It's quite an amazing mall i tell you. They have section for stuff on each floor. On level 3 or was it level 4, the whole level is filled with tech and gadget shop. The Cinema was amazing with an ambient, candle light dinner atmosphere. But being a traveler with no money to spend on shopping, we just went there, look around, touch some gadget, and went back. Window shopping, as some people might referred as to.
But after a disappointing 30 min waiting for them to come by, we decided to just give ourself a head start. It took about 20 min walking distance from our hotel to the nearest, aerotrain station, the Ratchaprarop station. Then we took the train to Ramkhamheng station. From there, it's about 2 km from Rajamangla stadium, where the Race of Champion event are held. Since we have plenty time to killed until 6 p.m which is the opening time of the stadium, we decided to walk our way, 2km to the stadium with a help of a map. For me it's a normal thing since i usually walked about the same distance each time i want to go to KLCC from Lowyat, taking the route to Pavillion and then through some hotel and finally KLCC. But for ajieb, hahaha. That needs no further explaination.
After walking for about 30 minutes, plus lost inside the campus, we arrived at the stadium. There was not so many booth there, but each of them are quite spacious nonetheless. Big shot like Redbull, Yamaha, Toyota, Lamborghini are present, with Yamaha having the largest booth and a race track for a scooter racing event as well as for stunts performances.
Even more absurd, i don't know the reason why i can't bring my camera in. In this digital era, it is just insane for not owning a camera. Even mobile phones have camera! and there's the language barrier. How the hell im suppose to let them took care of my dslr even when they can't speak simple English! She kept on saying "Sorry, sorry, sorry" , while crossing her arm like an 'X' shape. emphasizing the no camera rules. So with a raging heart i decided to get back in line and just ignore the warning. There's no way i'm giving my dslr for them to keep while i'm in the stadium. There was a trust issue and secondly im not so comfortable giving something like a dslr to any organizing committee people. Again when im at the entrance, i was again hold off because of my dslr. Luckily there are some chinese people that also brings dslr camera trying to justify the ban of dslr camera and in the midst of the chaos, i took that chance and slip away. Finally. Although still experiencing language barrier even after entering the stadium, we finally find a good spot to sit and after a morning of walking, we finally sat down, chilling until the event starts off.
Although I haven't slept that night, the feeling of a speeding airplane about to take off woke me up for a second, just enough for me to look at the watch and read the dials. An hour later, i woke with an empty and probably singing stomach since it been 9 hours with nothing other than air in my stomach. At about 11 a.m. local time, we arrived safely at Suvarnambhumi Airport.

Mind you, the organizer only gave us our hotel name and our flight details. So when we finally arrive at the airport, passed the immigration, took our luggage, we were very clueless on what to do next. In the back of my mind, usually when we are invited as a winner of some contest on oversea, there will be someone from the organizing commity that going to meet us at the airport, escort us to the hotel and give all the info for the event scheduled to start on that night. So we waited for our shuttle bus to our hotel. and after some disappointing moment, we decided to ask around how to get to our hotel. Well there is a saying that if we are shy to ask, we'll get lost!

With more than 4 mall surrounding our hotel. So, from the Suvarnambhumi Airport, we took an airport train, similar to our KLIA Express to the nearest stop, Ratchaprarop station. One thing that bothers me is how much the spelling differ from how it should be said. the airport name, Suvarnabhumi, how it should be said sound like suwanabuh. You just don't get it. Even android apps can help me converting words in thai into english. Talk about being a smart phone. pfft.
Upon arrival to our destined station, having finally have our hotel in sight, we hastily look for a way to the hotel. It's quite exciting, walking in a city so foreign, so different yet the atmosphere were relatively close to one place i usually go. Kuala lumpur. It's so congested, vehicle fume everywhere, the hot scorching sun. Almost identical in these aspect. From the train station to the hotel is about 10 to 15 minutes walking distance. When we finally check in our hotel its already noon there. Probably about 1 p.m . So without any waiting, rush to our room, and take some refreshing shower.
some familiar place we got here.

Funny thing is, the shower room are pretty much visible from outside. that time, we just don't know how the hell we are going to shower with only clear glass separating the shower room and the living room. and i mean clear, you can see what the other person is doing in the bathroom even when you are in the living room. Great! Luckily we found a switch for a curtain that can cover the whole glass. But still, it wasn't much of a cover i would say.
Later that evening, although we both agreed to have a proper deep slumber on the very much likely for me, one of the best hotel bed I've ever layed, we decided to head down to the nearest mall to get ourself local telco provider since Celcom roaming is expensive like a cup of Starbuck and we are pretty much broke people. and after done getting ourself a new number, it's time to head back to our hotel and hit the sack. Woke up later at 6 p.m because the atmosphere is like at 7p.m in Malaysia. Its a little weird, but it's something i can get used to. No big deal :p
That night, we got a called from the hotel lobby of some package for us from the organizer. Nice. Just like one of those Amazing race stuff. haha. In the package that we just receive, there was some info about the event itself and 2 pax passes for the 3 day event. Since it was late to go for the Friday show, we decided to call it a night and watch some movie on the tv until we dozed off.

Initially, we didn't have luck in winning the competition by Toyota 86 Asia(search on facebook). But my friend, Ajieb, after the result was out, sent an instant message to Toyota 86 Asia facebook group saying that just in case any winner back out, we are willing to go in their place instead. And so we did!

I meet up with Ajieb at nearby mamak stall for a football match between Malaysia and Thailand, at the night before our flight is schedule. Jep was there too. and we discuss matter regarding our travel plan for the next few days. The big problem was, it was a really bad timing. We both are quite broke you see. His payday is due this week, another half of my payday from WIEF still haven't be bank in(at that time) and talk about traveling to other country where Malaysian ringgit cannot be use. Just how the hell?

So, after the disappointing football match, we get back home with a plan to take a cab in the early Friday morning since our flight is on 8 a.m in the morning and being in an international flight for the first time, i took my father advice of getting there atleast 3 hours before deaprture. And so we did. At about 3 in the morning, we took a cab from my house directly to KLIA. Although ready to pay a large sum of money for taking a cab after midnight(double!) we were thankful enough that the fare is no less than rm80! Alhamdulillah.

Having our taxi ride for no longer than half and hour, we have about an hour to spare till the approximation time for out luggage check in. So we wonder around the sleepless airport of KLIA. There was many people here, probably waiting to transit or just waiting for the earliest flight. It's a rare scene to me as this is my first time taking an international flight and an early morning flight.

When we finish checking in our luggage, look for a nearby surau and had our Subuh prayer. After that straight away into the immigration counter and to the respective terminal where i'm going to aboard Thai Airways to Suvarnabhumi airport. Honestly, the thought of going oversea with less than rm400 really scares me. My mind goes from the normal scene to the worst case scenario where im left with no money and all my luggage went missing. It scares the shit out of me. Nevertheless, i muster my courage and board the plane. So boarding the plane it is, buckled up, put my barely 'new' t-Jays two earphone and the rest of the 1 hour journey was history since i was very much tired from lack of sleep earlier.
I'm never fond of economic subject. In fact, i've never had a proper subject of economic. Mainly because of my nature of a scientist (pfft.) who like to wonder and understand how things work. But that doesn't mean i'll ignore everything related to the economy.

The World Islamic Economic Forum or WIEF for short, was held at Persada Convention Center, Johor Bahru from the 4th till 6th of December. But, being a volunteer working as a luggage carrier(someone that assist people luggage at the airport) we had to came few days early, since the delegates or the VIP might came few days earlier. So for me, it all began on 1st of December and ends at 9th of December.
p/s: sorry for low-res photo. Quite disappointed with myself for not bringing along my dslr on this trip.

I was allocated for the AM shift, and together with me a total number of 7 people in the AM crew. same goes to PM crew. One thing that really make this 1 week a great journey is how, 7 people from different part of Malaysia, different type of universities, different field of study, came together in a team. and on the second day, it felt like we all have been like old friends. Laughing, making fun of each other, playing UNO cards, teasing, chit chatting. Usually it takes a while for a team to get close to each member. But this time its different. and i have to give a credit to the leader, Salleh for making AM crew a really great crew!

And talking about different people, i truly believe this type of event is a great chance to encounter different type of people. You know like in UTP, you will always stuck with people with engineering mind, or a bussiness/ICT mind. But when you go out, talking to people from other disciplines, it really open your mind to an open discussion. There's Adli, or we all call him as Deli, a physic graduate of USM, just graduate 2 months ago, but currently doing auditing for a Japanese company. There's Salleh from Petaling. A very active volunteer, and working in IT. Then there is Juwe maktab and teqqq, both from Kelantan, both from same high school and same event of MyHarapan. But the earlier study TESL while the later study bussiness. Finally there is the ladies of AM crew, Ayu and Mirah. Both from UTM, taking Civil engineering. Finally someone taking engineering! haha

to me, this one week is really a good experience. and joining an event with no friend that know you, really challenge you to be a little bit more proactive and always be in the social zone. Because admit it, when you have friend with you, you tend to be in your safe zone and be less talkative and passive. But when you are alone, it feels like you have to let that inner you shine so that your voice are heard and acknowledge.
Despite after a day after getting home from Johor Baharu for an Event, (which i haven't got the chance to publish the post. maybe after this.) that morning i woke up early like im about to head out to office for my work although obviously i'm currently unemployed. The conversation sound like this,

ajieb: You want to go to Bangkok or not?
me: What? Seriously?(i didnt really believe his word since he sounded less enthusiastic than normal when talking about a race event)
ajieb: Ya of course seriously! Get ready, we'll head to Putrajaya this evening to make our passport.

Although still being clueless on how the hell he managed to get a pair of ticket to Race of Champions 2012, Bangkok when the result clearly never state our name in one of the winner. Despite being cynical about the whole going to Bangkok thing, straight away I rush into the toilet and groom myself. The passport needed to be done by that particular day since the organizer needed the passport number. So we don't have much choice!

Thankfully the service at Putrajaya Immigration Office went smoothly which overall process from taking the Queue number to paying the money to the counter to actually get my hands on the passport took about 3 hours. Not bad considering its Monday and it's after lunch time.(fyi: its rm100 for 2 years of passport validity.)

Now the passport have been issued, what left is to wait for the Organizer to email the details to us.

Meet Pi and his fellow tiger friend, Richard Parker.

I had the chance to watch the movie on the afternoon, the first screening time that are available for the movie, Life of Pi at Sunway Pyramid TGV. I wanted to watch the IMAX version of it, but at that time i had the Royale Popcorn in mind and 30 ringgit worth of money in my pocket. Its either IMAX with no food, or a normal one but with a very sweet caramel popcorn. So i took the earlier one but when im at the food counter, its sold out. Dissapointment.

Enough with popcorn chit chatting. Let's get back to the story.

From the very beginning, after watching the trailer few times at cinema prior to movie screening, i knew that this movie will be most experienced in an IMAX 3D theater. With so many beautiful scene, nice action 'pop' out of the screen moment, it's going to be very interesting overall experience. and it does. Even without the 3D stuff.

Visual effect wise, it's very nice. the graphic was awesome, although i can detect when they are actually using CGI. But for most of the part, the tiger looks pretty much real to me. idk. you tell me.

3D???IKR?

The storyline is indeed brilliant. I love how the transition of the film, from the story telling to the past flashback, they came in a good time. I still haven't grasp the real ending to the story, either about the tiger or the fake story Pi made up for the investigator. Because lets face it, there's no such thing as floating banana! hahaha

Audio were superb. The roar. The scream of Pi when he was fighting with Richard Parker. The sound sunk deep into the bones i tell you.

And yes, it's quite a funny movie. There's so many scene that can go from all thing serious to something everyone can laugh off.

Got to love the meerkats. and yes Richard love them too. haha

Overall i would say its a great movie. It does not have the complicated story that make you go awe after the movie ends like Inception nor Looper do, but it doesnt have to. The story is about a moral value, and moral value it is that we spectator get after the end of the show. Well, atleast i do feel the message of Faith the movie trying to show off.

If i have to say something that i dont like about the movie, its the whole 3D things that fake your perception a little. Im not sure Industrial Light & Magic was behind this or not, but i think the 3D part can be improve more. and also the ending was a little too average. It doesnt have an Awe factor some movie have. But the 3/4 of the movie is enough to make yourself enjoy the overall journey.

Definitely a must watch movie this year. Along with Looper, or the Dark Knight Rises.

Yehuuuu!

This came suddenly when i stumble across a triathlon blogger post about the full marathon he had, earlier this year and that has inspired me to take a step forward(getting inspired is easy, getting it done is another thing). Oh well. Since i 've decided on this, i'll start off by following as many runner bloggers as i could so that their post will give me constant push in taking the next step. Then i'll start registering myself for the run.

Im thinking off starting with few 10k race before actually taking on a bigger step, which is the half marathon. Although 2013 will be a relatively new and busy year as i will have my internship later at June, i still hope all of this will work out somehow.

InsyaAllah.

I know it's been a while since my last post. I've been eager to post new things online but lately i've lost confident in writing blog. Mainly because i have no more interesting things to write about. These few months, i have been writing long paragraph of words but none of it make any sense. And i just left the post unattended, as a draft, waiting until the day that i need to write again. But now i have something to write again. (YAY!)

So in the past week, i have been working again. After about a year or so of non-working life. I'm one of the few temporary staff(Temp) that work for the grand opening of UNIQLO branch at Sunway Pyramid. Although it was only for a short time of 4 days, it's a unique experience to add on to myself.

For that 4 long days, my job as a temp staff was to assist the stock department to replenish on stock and making sure we have everything that can make good sale always on the shop floor. So early in the days, we need to support the full time staff as well as the part timers to finish up the preparation at the shop floor. Once thats done, im back at the store room to arrange all the extra boxes intended for the stock throughout the day. When the stock is well arranged at the back, it time to replenish items that has been selling fast like a hot goreng pisang. The routine mainly involve carrying a box, open up the package, fold the item, and put it on the carrier(called blue top, or blue tot? i think) to be carried out to the shop floor.

and fyi, this is my first time working in a Japanese company. On the first day, during the hectic opening, one of the Japanese Manager scold the senior staff there for not securing an empty hallway for people to walk from the staff room to the back of the store, where all the stock is lying. One thing that will always stuck in my head is what he said about keeping a space. He said something like, Always make space for people to walk, when the pathway is block, the productivity will go down, so will the efficiency, thus resulting to loss on sale. That little information as of to make a clear path for people to move around make me realize how good the Japanese people is in managing the performance. No wonder Uniqlo is one of the successful retail company in the world.(No kidding here.)

Super long queue on the Opening Day.

Despite having to go back home with a very painful foot and waking up to aches all over my body, i think this is the most body wearing job i've ever had in my lifetime. Imagine applying analgesic cream to your shoulder, back, biceps and hamstring muscle every night before sleep and after waking up. Such a pain.

But overall we are paid goodly with our effort for these 4 days. And not to forget, i make new friends here too. Although some were a bit racist and prefer to talk in their own group, being the only the temp staff, you can't expect them to be very much friendly. It's not like we are going to be there forever right? But still, these people that i make here are very interesting and fun to hang around too. Nelson, Ooi, Syafiq, Faiz and few more i can't recall their name, you guys are great people and i hope to see you guys again in the future.

Now that my body have recovered from muscle and joint pain, i think it's time to get back on looking for a new job, something less stressful to my body. Hopefully i'll succeed.
Be warned, this might make you a little confused of your understanding of time. and this will be quite a lengthy post. hihi

I just watched The Loopers this evening and that alone spark me on writing about time traveling. Because the movie itself involves time traveling. I won't give spoiler to the movie so don't worry :p anyhow, the essence of time traveling in the movie send an urge for me to look for discussion at forums and discussion boars to know the real ending to the story. and i was shocked by how mind boggling the composition of the movie. It was rather a Brilliant movie. It was not as direct as Inception, but if you have watched the movie, i really recommend you to look up on the Rainmaker. Oppss. A little spoiler there. hikhiks.

Loopers Trailer.

Back to the real topic.

There is a saying if you really understand something you should be able to let a 6 year old understand the same thing. Well, im not sure i can do that, but i'll do my best to interpret my understanding of time traveling.

So what's the science about time traveling. Simply put, time traveling is an act of traveling back through time be it to the past, or to the future. So far so good? Good. Next question is how? How is it possible? Well, me myself not sure about it, only Allah knows best, but as far as the science theory goes, if you can travel faster than speed of light, you are traveling through time. Now comes the tricky part. How come? well you need to dig up Einstien Theory of Special Relativity. haha. but a basic understanding of mine, if you can travel very fast, faster than light, everything other than you will be in a slower state. just like a slow-mo video. and because time is relative, while other's watch is ticking 1 click a sec, your clock might tick a little less than 1 click a sec. Make sense? since you have less time with you, it means, you are traveling back in time.

I remember few months back when i first discover a brilliant theory physicist names Michio Kaku through Youtube. After that i look up on his video throughout the internet and found some of his sci fi show. Maybe you'll understand more by watching the video below.

and if you really digs in time travelling stuff, try watching an anime called Stein's Gate. Even if you are not a anime guy, watch it for the sake of science. It has quite good time travelling science behind it and it is a pleasure to keep on understanding the story until the end of the 25 series show. and mind you, it does come with some humor to counter the heaviness of theory of science fact you need to crunch on.

How i loved science and all of it's theory. Although i might be a little bit biased to some of the theory, we all have to agree that all this theory is important to us, but sometimes it needs some reason for us before we can understood the essence of the theory itself. Trust me, science is such a great knowledge to have, and also to be shared :)

p/s: you might need some additional readings and watching about blackholes, anti matter and what not to make everything about time traveling make more sense.

p/s: Guess how many 'traveling' word i have misspelled throughout the post? haha

Truthfully i has been a while since i wanted to buy magazine. Before i used to buy tech and gadget magazine, after stop collecting comics and sports car magazine. But this is not your monthly magazine. It's an Ultimate guide to Marathon Running. Atleast that what on the front cover of the magazine.

I hope with this book, i'll embrace my inner spirit and take the challenge to go for a full marathon one day. 44km on foot. Stunning isn't? Well, im going to do so, someday. InsyaAllah.
p/s: and i'm attracted to what the back cover has to say.

It's been a week since i set sailed at home. So far i've gained weight, lose them again and pretty much that's it. Because i have spent more than half a year studying, now it's pay back time. So what did i do on daily basis you say? Well, my daily routine begin with a Subuh Prayer, then followed by a 'short' nap until the afternoon. Woke up, find something to eat, clean up the mattress, take a shower, and had my Zuhur Prayer. Then i go and have my lunch, get back, watch some japanese drama, download more(maybe when im around we can finally reach that 40GB bandwidth. haha), and at evening, if it wasn't raining, i get on my Adimana and have couple of round at MPSJ stadium. Return, had a shower, Magrib prayers, Eat, finally watch some real life news, get back to watching drama and then at 1 a.m, get back to sleep.

and that's my friend, the real definition of Holiday. haha

Yea i know, i'm wasting my time and energy when im suppose to get out, have a job, earning money, make new friends, learn how brute is the real world out there. But unfortunately, that's all have to wait until next week. Im planning on having an Island vacation but due to the Monsoon, it might be cancelled off. So the next best thing is backpacking!!!!!!! This time, ill do it for sure!

Backpacking first and then i'll start to look for a job. Probably not an office job, but a rather technical one. But looking at my lack of skills, i'm not sure i can lay off on any job, but no hurt in trying right?

p/s: Wish me luck :,)
